East Tennessee State hired Brenda Mock Brown as the Buccaneers' women's basketball coach Monday, one week after announcing Simon Harris was being fired over Title IX issues in his lone season.

Richard "Doc" Sander will serve as interim athletic director at ETSU, while an interim women's basketball coach soon will be named.

East Tennessee State will allow 10% of capacity for basketball games starting Wednesday night at the Buccaneers' men's game with Western Carolina.
