Ligue 1 News
French investigators raided offices of the French football league and private equity firm CVC Capital Partners on Tuesday as part of an investigation into possible corruption and embezzlement related to an investment deal, a judicial official said.
Leaders Paris Saint-Germain continued their unbeaten start to the Ligue 1 season as an early goal from Ousman Dembele gave them a 1-0 home win over RC Lens.
Paris St-Germain manager Luis Enrique said on Friday that the Ligue 1 leaders do not want to put any additional pressure on the shoulders of forward Bradley Barcola who has been enjoying a fine campaign.
Paris Saint-Germain will have to partially close a stand at their home stadium when they host Toulouse on Nov. 22 after being sanctioned over anti-gay chanting during a match against Strasbourg earlier this month.
