- 0': Join us at 20.05 BST to see City take on the Old Lady.
- 0':
Mancini: An Italian manager in charge of City. - 0': Patrick Vieira is hoping for the chance to impress against his old side.
- 0': Hello and welcome to the biggest game of the night from the City of Manchester Stadium.
- 0': If you're concerned that Roberto Mancini will be looking to bore us all stupid with an out and out catenaccio display, the signs are positive - he's having a go at throwing caution to the wind.
- 0': Emmanuel Adebayor starts up front as well as Carlos Tevez, while Adam Johnson is also in the line-up.
- 0': We've also got Gareth Barry, Patrick Vieira and Yaya Toure in that midfield, but Yaya's a lot more attacking these days so it shouldn't be too stifling.
- 0': Juve may look to the inconsistent but highly talented Milos Krasic, who was a target for City earlier this summer. City coach Attilio Lombardo says they only went for David Silva after growing frustrated in their attempts to sign Krasic.
- 0': Vincenzo Iaquinta and Alessandro Del Piero will provide some experience and guile to the juve attack, too, while Giorgio Chiellini should give them confidence at the back.
- 0': There's no sign of Alberto Aquilani for Juventus, while Gianluigi Buffon remains sidelined through injury. Former Arsenal 'keeper Alex Manninger is between the sticks as a result.
- 0': Both sides have had funny old starts to the season. City were superb against Liverpool and solid enough to beat Chelsea last weekend, but they've been too inconsistent. Juve had a very slow start, but there have been signs of recovery lately.
- 1': City get the game underway!
- 1': Jerome Boateng, on his first start, skews his ridiculously ambitious shot so badly that it's out for a throw-in. Let's hope there's more to the Europa League's best match than that.
- 4': Sissoko plays it through for Iaquinta on the right of the area, and his effort from distance forces Hart into a smart low save. That's much more like it.
- 5': Juve have a free-kick from way, way out, but that doesn't deter Del Piero from firing in a tame shot that goes nowhere near the City goal. He's better than that.
- 6': Kompany makes a clumsy challenge and it's another free-kick for Juve. Del Piero lines it up again.
- 7': Del Piero fires it straight at Hart, but it bounces up and the 'keeper can't claim it. His spill has enough height on it to get it clear.
- 9': Jerome Boateng pulls off a neat little piece of skill and then plays a long, searching ball for Tevez out on the left, but it's a little too long. Goal kick.
- 10': GOAL FOR JUVE! Iaquinta fires home from distance via a deflection from Kolo Toure's head!
- 12': Well, that should liven things up. City have a corner now.
- 12': Johnson floats on to the far post and the ball comes back across goal but is cleared for another corner.
- 13': Yaya Toure heads the second corner on goal and Manninger just about keeps it out! He holds on and Toure tries to bounce him over the line, but it's a clear free-kick.
- 15': Adebayor slips the ball through for Barry, who tries to cut it back across goal to no avail.
- 15': Zabaleta is caught in a clash with Chiellini. He should be okay but it looked painful.
- 17': Juve apply some more pressure and Iaquinta receives the ball on the edge of the area, but he's got his back to goal and City are able to get it clear.
- 18': Boateng sends in a cross from the right, but it's headed clear for a throw. City seem most likely to create something down the right - Boateng and Johnson have most of their creativity for the time being.
- 19': Tevez is finally able to fashion a chance in the area, but he's not quite got as much space as he'd like and the shot goes wide.
- 20': Tevez looks to fire in a pass for Adebayor, but it's just got too much on it. Tevez has woken up now, which is promising for City.
- 22': Vieira is given enough room to unleash a left-footer from the edge of the area, but he pulls it and it's well wide. City are still on top.
- 22': Zabaleta sends in a rotter of a cross after Tevez is dispossessed. They're not going to equalise like that.
- 24': Marchisio is down injured. Tevez sends the ball back to Chiellini, who puts it out for a throw.
- 24': City didn't want to give the ball back then. Marchisio did appear to be making a meal of it.
- 25': Barry shows the kind of touch that made England's World Cup such a roaring success and a City attack breaks down.
- 26': Johnson gets the chance to unleash a shot from the edge of the area, but it sails well over. It's like the English players have rediscovered the Jabulani.
- 29': Boateng goes a bit closer with another long-range effort. By 'a bit closer', that is to say that this one didn't go out for a throw-in.
- 30': Krasic rolls over and over repeatedly after what looked a fairly soft challenge from Zabaleta. A bit much, but Juve have a free-kick.
- 31': City look to make a quick break from the free-kick, but the move breaks down.
- 33': Johnson weaves his way infield and finds Vieira, who gives the ball back to Juve.
- 34': Barry's header hits the post! A great little knock-on. It comes back out for Johnson, whose shot is well blocked by Manninger.
- 34': Tevez receives a curling through ball from Johnson but blazes over the bar from a couple of yards out. He's given offside, though, which he'll be pleased about, even if it wasn't as easy as it sounds.
- 36': Boateng's cross-field pass there rivalled his earlier shot for poor execution. Presumably this is all down to rustiness, given that's he's actually a fine player.
- 37': GOAL FOR CITY Yaya Toure slips a superb throughball in for Johnson, who runs through and does well to deceive Manninger. 1-1.
- 38': Zabaleta fires a shot on goal, which takes a deflection, but Manninger is able to prevent the corner.
- 39': The fans have woken up a bit now and it feels like more of an event. City are still a little sloppy, but they're creating plenty of chances and there's a lot to admire.
- 39': Boateng gets back to nick the ball away from Del Piero, who was racing away like a 33-year-old there.
- 41': Krasic gets a yellow for a dive in the area. Kompany did seem to catch him, but Krasic was probably playing for it.
- 41': Adebayor produces some neat skill to feed Johnson, who returns the ball, but Juve have enough numbers back to stifle the charge.
- 43': Iaquinta plays a dangerous ball across the face. Boateng is able to play it behind for a corner because there are no Juve players getting in on it.
- 43': Hart punches the corner clear and collides with Boateng, who looks a little dazzled.
- 45': Krasic squares for Marchisio, who tries a pointless, tame long-ranger. Hart gathers.
- 45': Johnson looks to slip the ball in for Adebayor in a dangerous position, but he can't quite thread it through.
- 45': That's half-time.
- 45': Juve have probably been the better organised side and were well worthy of their slightly fortunate opener, but City have managed to find a bit of spark and could easily be ahead going into the second half.
- 45': We'll be taking a break now, but join us in the second half for what should be an entertaining 45 minutes.
- 46': Boyata has come on to replace Zabaleta, who was involved in a clash with Chiellini.
- 46': We're now underway for the second half.
- 46': The ball drops nicely for Del Piero to strike, but his effort lacks the power to trouble Hart.
- 48': Krasic fires in a shot from an angle that makes it look like an intended cross. Hart doesn't have too much trouble beyond the surprise factor.
- 49': The cross comes in for Tevez, who heads the ball in the wrong direction. A bit odd.
- 49': Chiellini comes in to dispossess Tevez after he danced past several of his team-mates.
- 50': Boyata puts a cross in from the right, but there's no one there.
- 51': Zabaleta's substitution was a precaution apparently. A muscle injury.
- 52': Adebayor stretches to connect with a deep cross and force a fine save, but he's two yards offside.
- 53': Tevez bursts into the area and, as he's forced wide, a couple of Juve defenders collide in amusing fashion. City can't make anything of it though.
- 54': Martinez is replaced by Simone Pepe.
- 55': Boateng clears a cross at the far post with Krasic lurking. Corner kick.
- 56': Del Piero sends it to the far post, where Chiellini heads it down and wide. Poor stuff from the Italy defender.
- 57': Johnson puts his magic feet in action before firing in a very saveable shot. Good stuff, though.
- 60': Another long City build-up is let down by the final ball. We're lacking that spark again, Johnson apart.
- 61': Vieira floats one over the defence for Adebayor, who's just about onside but can't get his head onto it. Nice thinking.
- 61': Barry gets a booking for a clumsy challenge on Sissoko as he progresses down the right flank.
- 63': Del Piero sends in what looks a disappointing ball, but it gets past the first defender and needs Kompany to perform a good clearance.
- 64': Barry chests down on the edge of the area and then strikes it on the bounce looking for the top corner. It's over, but not a million miles away.
- 65': Kolo Toure brings down Del Piero - or at least nearly brings him down and Del Piero goes down. It's a free-kick for Juve in a dangerous-ish position.
- 66': Del Piero takes it and sends it a yard or so wide of the post. It just didn't have the curl, but it would have had the beating of Hart.
- 67': Adebayor rises to try to meet Tevez's cross into the centre, but it's just over his head. Decent chance.
- 69': Silva is getting ready to come on.
- 70': Yaya Toure runs with the ball and finds Adebayor in the box, who doesn't manage to do anything with it, not entirely unsurprisingly.
- 72': Tevez gets involved in a bit of argy-bargy with Grygera, but the ref calms it down.
- 72': De Ceglie comes off and Motta takes his place.
- 73': Juve break and there appears to be a definite foul on the edge of the area, but City get away with it.
- 73': Grygera gets a booking as City break away.
- 74': Silva comes on for Adebayor.
- 75': Chiellini brings down Yaya Toure, but the ref isn't interested.
- 76': Juve go all defensive, taking off Krasic for Brazilian World Cup hero Felipe Melo.
- 78': The City fans are in full voice, but there's not much on the pitch to back it up right now.
- 78': Iaquinta looks to chase down a ball down the right flank but Kompany has the better of him. Goal kick, and Iaquinta reacts like a child.
- 80': Shoddy pass from Barry. There appeared to be a chance on there.
- 81': Silva has a shot closes down and Manninger gets across to prevent a corner. This game's dying a slow death.
- 84': Milner comes on in place of Boateng. City seem to determined to breathe life into this one, to their credit.
- 84': Barry will play at left back with Boateng having come off.
- 85': Juve are looking hard to break down, with Sissoko breaking things up nicely as he did so often for Liverpool.
- 85': Barry fouls Iaquinta in a dangerous position, reminding the world that he's not too well suited to that left-back position he's often been put in.
- 86': Del Piero strikes the underside of the bar! He's appealiong, saying it crossed the line, but it very clearly didn't.
- 88': City come close with Tevez battling away to get the ball across the face of goal before Silva gets in on the action. They have to settle for a corner.
- 88': Johnson swings it in and it's headed out for a throw.
- 90': It's just not happening. City are having all the possession, but they can't find a way through. Three minutes of added time.
- 91': Del Piero goes on a dangerous run and finds Pepe out left, despite falling over, but he's muscled out of it.
- 92': Sissoko is given plenty of space to unleash a shot from the edge of the area. It's a powerful strike, but it's always going wide.
- 92': Milner puts a flat ball into the centre, but there's no team-mates there to do anything with it.
- 93': Tevez receives the ball in the area, but he's penalised for a push or a handball. He was probably guilty of both.
- 93': That's it - it's all over and the teams share the points.
- 93': Del Piero came close to providing some late drama with his free-kick, but City probably had the better of it.
- 93': A solid if uninspiring performance from both teams, and both can just about claim they're making progress.
