- 10': Giggs bends in the corner from the left, it's headed clear to Kleberson who thrashes an effort well wide

- 12': Free-kick to the visitors on the left. Alex curls one into the area and eventually Henize hooks it clear
- 13': Van Nistelrooy turn on the left flank and gets a cross in - Rustu gets there first

- 30': Bellion crosses from the right and Van Nistelrooy just cannot get on the end of it - but he has a dig at Luciano's Achilles after the ball has gone. There's a bit of handbags and Marco Aurelio is booked for his part in it

- 65': Another corner for Fenerbahce. Alex again takes from the right it's a deep one this time and Ferdinand heads away
- 66': Rooney makes the challenge and it's another corner, Alex from the right once more and United scramble it away. Marco Aureilo gets the shot it but there's a block from a red shirt
- 67': Fenerbahce well on top now, United under real pressure - is this game still very much alive?
- 68': Heinze fells Marco Aurelio - free-kick outside the visitors' area
- 69': Kleberson sends Rooney in down the right, he closes in on goal - but his first touch lets him down and allows the defender to make the challenge
- 70': United look to have weathered that storm and are far more comfortable
- 71': Rooney's beginning to look a little tired now after so long out of the game, surely either Alan Smith or Cristiano Ronaldo will appear soon
- 72': Fletcher tries to put Van Nistelrooy through - Deniz is wise to the move and intercepts

- 74': Van Nistelrooy turns well but just overhits his attempted flick to send Rooney in on Rustu's goal

- 78': Fletcher recieves it on the right flank, looks up and spots Van Nistelrooy in the area. He picks the Dutchman out who controls it on his chest, and drags it past the challenge of Umit...

- 79': Great ball from Fletcher, great skill from Van Nistelrooy and a fine power finish to give Rustu no chance. United lead 5-2, game over
- 80': Fenerbahce still come forward looking for a third goal, this side certainly does not lack spirit
- 81': Rooney's deft flick finds Bellion and he's through...

- 82': Bellion remained calm to latch on to Rooney's fine flicked header to send him through, he closed in on goal and slotted in from the angle. And that's six
- 83': A double change for United, Gabriel Heinze and Ruud Van Nistelrooy are replaced by Phil Neville and Liam Miller
- 84': For once Alex's corner deliver is poor and straight into the clutches of Carroll
- 85': Umit finds space at the far post and side-foots the volley first time. Carroll is beaten but the shot comes back off the post
