  • 2': Parlour breaks up a move between Vieri and Martins, who was so effective at Highbury.
  • 3': Cole clips the ball into Kanu, whose cushioned header is too far for Henry.
  • 3': Pires wins a corner. Henry takes it and Toldo punches clear under pressure.
  • 4': Cole covers and makes a great sliding tackle on Martins. The ref deems it to be a foul - it never was.
  • 5': Vieri and Materazzi eye the freekick. Vieri strikes a shocking effort that ends up in the fans (that he has fallen out with).
  • 6': Edu brings down Lamouchi and Inter have another freekick just outside the area....
  • 7': ...Materazzi strikes it and Lehmann just stands and watches the shot go wide of his righthand post.
  • 8': Kanu clips in a cross. Toldo opts to punch and Arsenal win a throw. Kanu handles the ball and Inter can clear.

  • 10': Kanu holds off three players. Pires fires the ball into Henry, who attempts a failed return pass instead of shooting from the edge of the box.
  • 11': Martins slides across the Arsenal defence, who are holding a high line, and fires off a tame effort at Lehmann from distance.
  • 12': Henry waits for the ball and Cordoba cuts in front of him to win possession for Inter.
  • 13': Van der Meyde crosses from the right. Vieri can't quite leap high enough and can only manage to spoon the ball wide off the back of his head.
  • 14': Pires rides a challenge but his ball out wide to Toure is a poor one.
  • 15': Arsenal haven't really got into this game yet whilst Inter look dangerous when they attack.
  • 16': Parlour holds off Lamouchi, who dramatically clutches his face, but can't launch an Arsenal attack.
  • 17': Henry controls a looping ball on the wing and then fires a perfect ball into Kanu, but J.Zanetti makes a good tackle on the edge of the area.
  • 18': Cygan makes an important interception at the back. Henry is barged off the ball by tough tackling Materazzi.
  • 19': Van der Meyde is hustled off the ball by three defenders. Henry takes a heavy touch and Lamouchi hoofs the ball clear.

  • 25': An unlikely 1-0 lead for the Gunners in the San Siro.
  • 26': Parlour scythes down C.Zanetti. Cole launches a long throw down the line.
  • 27': Materazzi wins a freekick in his own half. Lamouchi clips the ball into the area but Campbell prevents Vieri from reaching the cross.
  • 28': Edu tricks his way through the midfield but gets a little excited as he nears shooting range and overruns the ball.
  • 29': Martins wins a freekick off Pires. Brechet pumps the ball up to Vieri but Cygan makes an important interception.
  • 30': Arsenal are defending well and are starting to look comfortable in the San Siro.
  • 30': Edu loses the ball in midfield. Vieri drives towards goal and fires off a shot that loops up off Campbell's leg. Lehmann back pedals but the deflection beats the keeper. GOAL!!!
  • 31': Inter have a fortunate goal and it's all square in Italy.
  • 32': Vieri, who is unhappy at Inter at the moment, doesn't even celebrate his strike and looks stoney faced.
  • 33': Materazzi scythes down Parlour but luckily for him the ball had already gone out of play for a throw.
  • 33': Brechet crosses from the left. Lehmann comes off his line to claim the ball and launch an Arsenal attack.
  • 34': Parlour drives down the flank and crosses for Pires, who attempts a volley from the edge of the box and makes a real hash of it.
  • 35': Van der Meyde takes a tumble under Parlour's tackle and Inter have a freekick in a dangerous area.
  • 36': Materazzi takes the freekick and forces Lehmann into making a good save, low to his right.
  • 37': Arsenal could do with more out of Ljungberg on the right wing, he has been absent so far.
  • 38': Kanu and Henry both get chopped down but the ref tells both strikers to get to their feet - play on.

  • 55': Van der Meyde takes the corner. Materazzi gets his head to the ball but is penalised for a shove on Cygan.
  • 56': The Arsenal back four push up and catch Vieri and Martins offside as Inter apply some pressure.
  • 57': Inter make a change. Almeyda replaces Lamouchi.
  • 58': Inter make another change. Cannavaro, who must be carrying an injury, is replaced by Pasquale.
  • 59': Inter are struggling to clear from defence and eventually resort to hoofing the ball as far as possible.

  • 63': Henry tries his luck out wide and wins a corner for the Gunners. The big boys are up from the back.
  • 64': Toure heads towards goal but his effort deflects wide off Ljungberg for a goalkick.
  • 65': Edu finds Henry, who gets to the byline and drives a ball across the face of goal. Ljungberg can't get the vital touch.
  • 66': Ljungberg goes down under a challenge from Materazzi. Freekick to the Gunners.
  • 67': Henry attmepts another ambitious effort. He hits the target but doesn't trouble Toldo.
  • 68': Inter make another change. Van der Meyde is replaced by Cruz.
  • 69': Pasquale crosses from the left. The ball drifts over Cole at the back post but Vieri can only prod the ball into Lehmann's grasp.
  • 70': Inter win a corner. Lehmann makes a good leap and takes the ball off Materazzi's head.
  • 71': Arsenal make a defensive substitution. Kanu, a striker, is replaced by Brazilian midfielder Gilberto.
  • 72': Campbell takes a heavy touch and lets Cruz in. The defender makes amends but has to concede a corner with a dodgy tackle in the box.
  • 73': Lehmann gets his hands on the ball after a some pinball in the box.
  • 74': Inter are lumping plenty of crosses into the box as they look for an equaliser, but Lehmann is plucking them all out of the air.
  • 75': Henry relieves the pressure with a run down the left wing. He cuts inside, beats his man and fires off a shot, from a tight angle, that drifts just wide.
  • 76': Ljungberg takes a fresh air shot from Gilberto's corner and hangs his head in shame.
  • 77': Henry is fouled by Materazzi but the striker stays on his feet and flicks the ball to Pires.
  • 78': Materazzi scythes down Ljungberg and this time the ref gives a freekick, but no yellow card for the tackle from behind.
  • 79': Elsewhere, Celtic are still drawing 0-0 with Bayern Munich
  • 80': Cordoba launches a long throw into the box. Campbell clears after J.Zanetti's flick on.
  • 81': Martins turns into the box, Cole keeps pace with the striker and makes an excellent sliding tackle.
  • 82': Cole is injured after his tackle and needs some treatment. He is off the pitch for an Inter corner.
  • 83': Materazzi takes a tumble in the box - the ref says no penalty - and writhes around on the floor while Arsenal break....
  • 84': Henry sprints towards goal as Materazzi tries to keep pace. The defender eventually forces Henry wide but he cuts inside and hits a rasping strike past Materazzi and Toldo. GOAL!!!
  • 85': Arsenal lead 3-1 in the San Siro and Inter look shattered.
  • 86': Cole plays a great ball down the line. Henry fires a ball across the face of goal, two defenders miss it and Edu slots the ball home. GOAL!!!

  • 88': Arsenal are not through with Inter yet. Henry launches another attack and finds Pires in the box......
  • 89': .....the Frenchman's first strike is blocked by J.Zanetti but the ball ricochets back to Pires' feet and he finds the back of the net at the second attempt. GOAL!!!
  • 90': Inter are praying for the full-time whistle and there it goes. Arsenal have won 5-1 at the San Siro.
  • 0': Arsenal needed a draw to keep their qualifying hopes alive and they ended up on the right side of a 5-1 rout.
