Sources: Baylor is finalizing a deal to hire Joe Klanderman as the school’s new defensive coordinator. He’s spent the last seven years at Kansas State, including the last six as the defensive coordinator. He coordinated the defense on Kansas State’s Big 12 title team in 2022.
In his time at Kansas State, Klanderman helped develop more than 40 players who earned All-Big 12 honors. That included NFL draft picks like Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Jacob Parrish and Julius Brents.

Baylor grad, ex-athletics administrator Doug McNamee named AD
Baylor has hired Doug McNamee as its new athletic director, replacing Mack Rhoades, who had been athletic director since 2016 and stepped down for personal reasons.
Sources: Baylor is finalizing the hire of Doug McNamee as the school’s next athletic director. He’s the current president of Field and Stream and brings extensive history with Baylor, where he worked from 2012-18. @sicem365 reported his candidacy.
He left Baylor to become the president of Magnolia, the company run by Chip and Joanna Gaines. He worked with Ian McCaw, Mack Rhoades and helped revive Baylor football with the hire of Matt Rhule.
