Peevy's 2 second-half TD passes to Heisey, Gibson's pick-6 help Maine beat Albany 34-20

Peevy hit Heisey for their first touchdown and, after the 2-point conversion attempt failed, Maine took a 19-13 lead with about 2 minutes left in the third quarter. After an Albany punt, Peevy led a 12-play, 83-yard drive that took nearly eight minutes off the clock and culminated when he faked a hand off, rolled to his right and hit Heisey in the front of the end zone with 7:04 to play. Wideout Montigo Moss — son of Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss — hit Joe Gillette for the 2-point conversion to make it 27-14.

Myles Burkett threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Seven McGee less than 2 minutes later and Maine went three-and-out on its ensuing possession before Gibson's pick-6 capped the scoring with 1:46 left.

Peevy finished 20-of-24 passing for 193 yards and Heisey added three receptions for eight yards. Jaharie Martin added 82 yards rushing, including a 1-yard touchdown, on 19 carries for Maine (3-2, 1-1 CAA).

Burkett finished with 202 yards passing with two TDs and two interceptions for Albany (1-3, 0-1).

The Great Danes, who went into the game ranked No. 23 in the FCS coaches poll, have lost three games in a row since a season-opening win over Long Island.
