Clayton shot 8 for 12, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc for the Bobcats (16-13, 10-6 Mid-American Conference). Victor Searls added 13 points while shooting 5 of 9 from the field and 3 for 3 from the line while they also had seven rebounds. Elmore James had 12 points and shot 4 for 7 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) and 3 of 5 from the free-throw line.

Ohio outscored Miami by two points in the final half, while Clayton led the way with a team-high 14 second-half points.
Both teams next play Tuesday. Ohio hosts Eastern Michigan and Miami squares off against Buffalo on the road.
