Baylor has hired Doug McNamee as its new athletic director, replacing Mack Rhoades, who had been athletic director since 2016 and stepped down for personal reasons.
Sources: Baylor is finalizing the hire of Doug McNamee as the school’s next athletic director. He’s the current president of Field and Stream and brings extensive history with Baylor, where he worked from 2012-18. @sicem365 reported his candidacy.
He left Baylor to become the president of Magnolia, the company run by Chip and Joanna Gaines. He worked with Ian McCaw, Mack Rhoades and helped revive Baylor football with the hire of Matt Rhule.
